The holidays are nearly here and with that, I know my husband is going to be asking me what I want for Christmas. And a list of gifts for police wives, just like this, would be so helpful for him year after year. I don’t always like telling my husband exactly what I want (not helpful, right?) but telling him is exactly what most men find most helpful! I guess I always like an element of surprise but, sometimes, I just don’t know what I want. I enjoy buying gifts for other people (mostly our children) so I rarely take the time to think about myself.
Police wives are always behind the scenes, taking on more than they can handle, some days. They deserve some appreciation and what better time to show it? A helpful gift guide (that can be shared with your spouse) is a quick and easy way to hint to your significant other you are wanting this holiday season!
So I polled a group of ah-mazing, fellow police wives and here is what is on the TOP of their Christmas lists this year:
Time with their officer:
The most popular gift police wives want this Christmas is TIME, which won by a landslide! We want nothing more than to spend quality time with our significant other. So officers, whether you plan a romantic date, put the kids to bed early and watch a movie with your wife, have a breakfast date or work SUPER hard at being available as much as you possibly can for the holidays, it doesn’t matter. These wives are asking for your time so, please, work extra hard this year to make that happen.
A great way that my husband and I have made some time for one another is with Date Night-In Boxes.
Date Night-In Boxes are a box subscription company (we buy 3 months at a time with no obligation). They also offer one box at a time, month to month or multiple boxes for a discount. We love these ‘dates in a box’ because we can plan our date around our own schedules and don’t have to pay for a babysitter. We can simply put our kids to bed, grab a drink, and start our date!
The date themes change from month to month making them fun and new. Officers, your wives will totally love if one of these boxes show up on your front door!
A copy of my newest journal The Peacemaker’s Wife:
This is my new book (in journal format) available on Amazon. It is a collection of 50+ journal prompts to help inspire and encourage you as a police wife or girlfriend. It also has plenty of writing space so you can reflect eaach day!
Check it out here.
Household duties done:
What wife wouldn’t want this, right? Whether you hire a maid or enlist yourself and the kids to make your home sparkling clean, let your wife have a break this Christmas. To make it even more fun, feel free to print out this free ‘Gift of Relaxation‘ coupon that you can give your police wife. It is always fun to open something and a gift certificate for cleaning would make me ecstatic! You can even make it for multiple uses- it can be the gift that keeps on giving!
You can also help your wife out in the kitchen (not to offend her), but to offer support. You can grab a copy of the ULTIMATE Meal Planning Guide for Law Enforcement Families. It is a super detailed guide to meal planning around law enforcement life!
Police wife apparel:
Many wives love to show their support for law enforcement with police wife apparel. Whether they just rock it at home or out ‘n about, be sure to check out Emory Lane Co. They make crazy popular and trendy clothes for any first responder family or busy mom. My wishlist for this company is like a mile long! If you are unsure of what to buy then check out this super cute Santa baseball tee or a fleece blanket!

Homemade gifts:
Nothing speaks to my heart more than homemade gifts from my husband and kids. For Mother’s Day this past year, my husband made me a morse code bracelet (thin blue line colors) that you can see in the image below. In morse code it said “I am always with you.” It meant so much to me and because law enforcement life holds a special place in my heart, it meant even more.
Any gift that has THOUGHT put into it is a gift any wife would LOVE. Pinterest has a ton of homemade gift options but here are a few ideas:
-Pictures or photo frame
-Bath salts
-Love Letter
-Pallet or wood sign for the home
-Piece of art
-Gifts from the kids
-Gift basket (spa basket, coffee basket, dinner basket- all the dry ingredients she would need for one dinner)

Sparkly gifts:
I had to chuckle at this one a bit! But most, not all, but most women love jewelry. So if your wife enjoys a little sparkle in her life, then jewelry of any idea would be a winner.
It does not always have to be expensive, top of the line jewelry store jewelry. This feather necklace off Amazon is the perfect stocking stuffer! These stackable name rings are on my list this year. They can be personalized for each member of your family. What’s not to love?
I hope these ideas help you to check some gifts for police wives off your list this year. It is time to spoil your police wife and show her the love and appreciation she deserves! You also don’t have to guess what she wants this year- start with this list and you will do just fine!
