Thin Blue Line Cupcakes

Delicious thin blue line cupcakes to show support to local law enforcement!

Ingredients

  • 1 Box Duncan Hines Devil's Food Cake Mix
  • 1 Box Duncan Hines Classic White Cake Mix
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cups water
  • Blue 6-8 drops Food coloring
  • Blue sprinkles
  • 12 regular Cupcake Liners
  • 1 container Cream Cheese Icing
  • Ziploc bags gallon size

Instructions

  1. Mix Devil's Food Cake Mix using box instructions (usually 3 eggs, 1 cup of water, and 1/3 cup of vegetable oil). Set aside.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix classic white cake mix using box instructions (usually 3 eggs, 1 cup of water, and 1/3 cup of vegetable oil). Add 6-8 drops of blue food coloring to the class white mix. Set aside.


  3. Line a cupcake pan with 12 regular sized cupcake liners.

  4. Take a gallon size Ziploc bag and fill it with the devil's food cake mix. Snip off one small corner of the bag. Gently squeeze the devil's food cake mix into each cupcake liner filling it 1/3 of the way full.


  5. Next, take another gallon size Ziploc bag and fill it with the the blue cake mix. Snip off one small corner of the bag. Gently squeeze the blue cake mix into each cupcake liner filling it another 1/3 of the way full.


  6. Repeat step number 4 by squeezing another layer of devil's food cake mix on top of the blue cake mix.


  7. Cook on 350 degress F for 15-20 until a toothpick comes out clean.


  8. Let cool for about an hour.


  9. Take the store bought cream cheese icing and place it in a clean gallon sized Ziploc bag. You can cut the tip off or place a metal decorator tip inside the bag before you fill it with icing.

  10. Firmly squeeze the icing onto the cupcake and quickly swirl the icing bag counter-clockwise.


  11. Decorate with blue sprinkles.


  12. Enjoy yourself or share with the officer in your life!
