Even though we meal plan, I feel like we are constantly looking for more quick and easy meals or snacks my husband can eat to sustain his energy. I don’t have a ton of time, so I wanted to whip up something that I knew we could make again and again with a super low time commitment. Bonus points if my kids can eat them, as well!
So I came up with these no-bake energy bites that are thin blue line themed. The possibilities with these are endless and take about 5 minutes to make.
Ingredients you need:
–Plain, old fashioned oats– 3 cups
-Mini blue M&M’s (or any color of your choosing)- 1/2 cup
-Peanut butter- 2 cups
-Honey- 1/2 cup
-Mini semi-sweet chocolate chips- 1 cup
You could also add:
-Other dried fruit

These no-bake energy bites are super yummy and take no time at all! And only using five ingredients make these inexpensive, as well.
Pour all ingredients in a bowl. Mix well. Yep, it’s that easy!
Look for a consistency you like where the oats aren’t falling apart when mixed into a ball. You can add more peanut butter, if needed.
Line baking sheets with parchment paper so the energy balls don’t stick.
Roll the oats mixture into about 1-2 inch balls.
Line them on the parchment lined baking sheet.
Then refrigerate them for 1-2 hours so they harden up a bit.
Seriously, how easy is that??
Remember these energy bites are just a base. You can add any ingredients you would like or take out chocolate, etc. Be creative!!

Easy, no-bake energy bites
Thin blue line themed energy bites for police officers!
- 2 cups peanut butter add more if needed for consistency
- 1/2 cup M & Ms
- 1/2 cup honey
- 3 cups old fashioned oats
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
Mix all ingredients well.
Form mixture into 1-2 inch balls.
Lay balls on parchment lined baking sheets.
Refrigerate balls on baking sheets for 1-2 hours until they are hard.
